Rationale 1: This Wiki page is about different adaptations that have been developed to make learning and technology available to people with disabilities. It takes a specific look at technological advances that make computers and online learning available to all people. This Wiki page was developed to share with colleagues to educate them on technological adaptations.
By developing this Wiki page, I was able to explore the different adaptations and also be made more aware of some of the difficulties that people face when trying to use technology. I feel that I am more resourceful to help my students as well as other teachers to come up with alternatives for students who have difficulties in education and are in need of special assistance. There are so many advances in the 21st century that no student should be denied education because of a disability. It is just a matter of finding the right adaptations to help each student. As a result of this study, I am now more available to staff member, especially in the special education department, to come up with ideas on adaptations for students in the classroom who struggle with physical or educational challenges. It has shown me how easy and important it is to help these students be successful.
